Introduction

Why a series on worship? We need to develop: A deeper understanding of who God is; A reverence toward God as we worship Him; A deeper appreciation of His holiness; An understanding of what true worship is. If we can better understand WHO God is; how HOLY He is – I believe it will go a very long way in creating a spirit of reverence in worship.

I. Isa. 55:8-9 – Scripture reveals ______ is on His level – ______ are on our level.

A. Everything man knows about God comes through __________ or _____________.

1. Existence & power of God is seen in creation – Psa. 19:1-6.

a) 19:2-4 – it is a silent declaration – but an awesome declaration.

B. Think of what has been revealed to us in scripture.

1. __________ has been revealed by God – it is God’s message to us. Psa. 19:7-9; John 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21

C. Everything we have & are is due to Him. Everything.

II. God wants us to ____________ for Him.

1. He seeks to have a close, personal, intimate relationship with us.
