My Hope is Built on Nothing Less

Introduction:

Hope is THE message of 1 Peter. Peter is someone wondrously equipped to teach us about hope. Could it be, that with Jesus’ death – Peter’s hope waned? Everything appeared to be over. Jhn 21; 3 – let’s go fishing. Had he given up? Denied Jesus 3 times. Of how much value did he feel he was to Jesus? Peter, because of the death of Jesus, could testify that we can obtain a living hope of eternal life – the salvation of our souls. See 1 Pet. 1:3-9.

I.  Peter identifies ____________ we’re hoping for.

A.     1:4 – something __________________ & undefiled.

1.      All we see, handle, taste, smell, hear in this world is subject to ______.
