A Gentiles Great Faith
Introduction:
After crossing the Sea of Galilee Jesus and the disciples entered the land of Gennesaret. (Mk. 6:54-56) Some of the Jews began to question Jesus and He begins an exchange with them. (Mk. 7:1-23) Beginning in Mk. 7:24 Jesus leaves and goes to the region of Tyre. Here He is approached by a Canaanite woman who desires a demon to be removed from her daughter. Matthew tells us she was “cruelly” affected by this demon. (15:22) Some feel that this woman traveled a great distance to get to Jesus.
