Mary the Mother of Jesus
Introduction:
Not much is known about the background of Mary. We do know she was a resident of Nazareth in Galilee. She was the daughter of either Heli or Jacob. She was from the tribe of Judah and in the lineage of David. The Scriptures mention Mary in just a few places and in this lesson we will cover those events.
I. The years around the birth of Jesus.
A. 5 BC—she became engaged to _______________. Joseph was a ________________.
1. Lk. 1:26—_______________ sent from God to Nazareth to Mary.

B. Luke’s account gives us a picture of Mary’s inner thoughts & feelings. We see
