Obediently "Hearing" God

Introduction:
    How many of us have “selective hearing?” It is true that we often hear only that which we wish to hear. If we have problems with God—or any part of His will –it will affect our spiritual hearing. See John 8:47. How much better it is if we determine to have the attitude expressed by Samuel in 2 Sam. 3:9-10. Speak Lord...for your servant is listening. What kind of attitude is involved in receiving the word of the Lord in this way?
