For What Should We Pray (1)

Introduction:
Every situation can be an occasion to pray. The Bible has very little to say about what God’s people are NOT to pray for. Two references are in 1 Jhn. 5:16 & Jer. 7:16. Prayer is of no value unless it is accompanied by repentance, sincerity, unselfishness, and a knowledge of what is being asked. As to the things that we are to pray for, there is no short list. The New Testament points out a variety of things to pray for. We’ll breakdown the lesson into 2 parts—praying for others and praying for ourselves.
