Virtual Spirituality
Introduction:
One of the new aspects of technology still being improved upon is virtual reality. It is a way entering a surreal, 3D environment without really doing so. One can be bumped and even killed—but not harmed. It presently is a game, a fantasy, a make-believe reality that is unreal. And it resembles greatly the way many people try to serve God.
I. Virtual Spirituality Is:
A. ________ _____________ = we believe it, but we’re making up our own roles.

2. Demanding baptism/excusing attitude, decrying creeds and pressing opinions.
3. Talk of evangelizing the world—but won’t invite neighbors to worship.

1. Mt. 23:3, 5, 23, 27—living 2 lives? Speaking 2 languages? Js. 3:10-12
C. _________ ___________ = going through the motions, without motivation.
1. Ephesian church—Acts 19:8-10—evangelistic
2. Eph. 1:15—faithful, loving, growing
3. Rev. 2:4-5—fallen; left first love.
4. What can this type of spirituality contribute to?
a) discouragement; apathy; false motivation, etc.
II. How do we __________ __________ the Helmet?

1. Responsibility is on the student AND the teacher! Acts 17:2-4
