The Christians Obligations to the Alien Sinner

Introduction:
We continue with our series on different obligations of Christians.  We are all familiar with obligations.  This lesson is not intended only for Christians but those outside of Christ as well.  It is important to understand that a Christian is someone who has been translated into the kingdom of Jesus Christ.  Christians have made the commitment to put off the old man of sin and live a life that is pleasing to Christ.   The alien sinner does not have the same relationship with God as Christians do.   We as Christians must fulfill our obligations to help lead the alien sinner to Jesus Christ.
I.  Why is the Christian Obligated to teach the Alien Sinner?
    A.  Rom. 6:11, 13 - The Christian is a living part of the body of Jesus Christ.
        1.  All living physical life on earth reproduces after its kind.
        2.  Only natural that this should be true in the spiritual realm!
        3.  Jhn. 15:1-6 - spiritual reproduction made mandatory by Jesus Christ.
    B.  Should be motivated out of our love for the souls of men.
        1.  Should not only be concerned w/our soul, but strive to show others the Way!
        2.  How is your love?  Mt. 7:12 demands that we tell others.
        3.  How much do you love?  How much to you teach?
    C.  Rom. 1:15-16 - Paul eager to preach gospel to Romans.
        1.  1 Pet. 1:18; Jhn. 8:24 - Alien sinner needs to understand the very basics of faith.
        2.  Mt. 28:19-20; Mk. 16:15-16 - this is an obligation of ALL who are Christians.
II.  Christians are under obligation to teach the simple gospel of the New Testament.
    A.  Mt. 28:18 - All authority given to Jesus by God.
        1.  Js. 1:25; 2 Pet. 1:3 - governed by authority of the Scriptures. 
        2.  Only way to get to heaven is to go through God's plan.
    B.  Gal. 1:11-12 - Can't go against God's plan
        1.  Man changes/goes against God's plan.  i.e., baptism, security of the believer.
        2.  Gal. 1:8-9; 2 Jhn. 9 - Only the Lord's doctrine produces the Lord's people!
    C.  Lk. 8:11 - the seed we plant must come from the word of God
        1.  Teach/preach through patience, humbleness, diligence, determination
        2.  1 Cor. 1:21; Rom. 10:13-17 - obligated to get the word out!
    D.  The Alien sinner MUST:
        1.  Hear, Believe, Repent:  Jhn. 6:44-45; Heb. 11:6; Acts 17:30
        2.  Confess & be Baptized:  Mt. 10:32-33; Acts 22:16; Rom. 6:3-5
III.  Christians Obligated to live by what they teach!
    A.  Influence is the Christian's most valuable possession!
    B.  Gal. 6:9-10; Mt. 5:44, 47 - our lives MUST be filled with good works!
        1.  This was the way of Jesus Christ!
        2.  Are we following in His example by showing concern for the souls of others?

We (Christians) are the only link between God & the Sinner.
