Matthew Allen grew up in Malvern, Arkansas and has been preaching regularly since October, 1994. He has served as the evangelist for the Brownsburg Church of Christ, in Brownsburg, Indiana since August 2003. Before this he worked with congregations in:

  • Rapid City, South Dakota (Southside Church of Christ - 1997-2003) 
  • Tompkinsville, Kentucky (Cyclone Church of Christ- 1996-97)
  • Brownsburg, Indiana (Intern program, Brownsburg Church of Christ - 1995-96)

He is currently seeking an undergraduate degree in communication studies from Indiana University (IUPUI) in Indianapolis.  

In addition to conducting gospel meetings and lectureships for churches of Christ throughout the United States, Matt has done evangelistic work in Corozal, Belize (1998) and Mariupol, Ukraine (2003 and 2004). Since 1996, Matt has had a number of articles published in Biblical Insights, The Preceptor, and Truth Magazine. Matt was the host of Bible Talk from 2000-03 on KOTA 1380 AM in Rapid City, SD, and during 2003-04 he hosted a live call in radio program in Indianapolis, IN called Focus on the Bible on WKLU 101.9 FM.

He has recently written new workbooks on 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus, and the Lord's Supper. Matt is also the author of two new tracts published by Spiritbuilding Publishing: What is the church of Christ and What to Look for in a Church seek acquaint people with churches of Christ. During the summer of 2006 Matt will direct a summer intern program for young preachers at Brownsburg Church of Christ.

Matthew is the son of Sam and Donna Allen (Rapid City, SD) and his wife Becky is the daugher of Carl and Loretta King (Hackett, AR). Matthew and Becky were married in June, 1994 and have a daughter (Emilea) and a son (Zackary).
